Hello Autumn {bella blvd}

Today on the Bella Blvd blog I am sharing this fun 8x8 shadow box with a Hello Autumn scene. I couldn't resist the urge to use the chipboard owls in their Thanksgiving costumes.

For a dimensional look, I propped the owls up on little white pieces of card stock and put them forward in the box instead of on the background.

A bright yellow feather to frame off the tag helps the title to stand out from the busy background paper.

Stop by the Bella Blvd blog today and all week long to see projects from the team as we work with the new collections.

Supplies: Hello Autumn (Pattern paper: Gatherings, Time to Rake, Day Dream), Chipboard Icons, Paper Pieces Die Cuts. Feathers: Bell Pepper. Ciao Chip: Amorie Alpha (Guacamole).

Challenge #14 | Sequins {avery elle}

Happy Friday and welcome to another challenge for the AEI♥U Challenge blog. This week we are sharing cards with sequins.

Here is the card that I made — simple and bright.

I used Avery Elle's Brushed Clear Stamps set for the strokes and the sentiment on this card. The sequins were from my stash, but I think they might have been from a Lawn Fawn set at one point.

I hope you'll get a chance to play along with us. What a great excuse to add some bling to your cards!

Avery Elle stamps or their free digital stamps must be used in each entry. You may enter as many times as you wish, but they must be posted to the InLinkz tool separately. Please enter a new, not previously posted project that fits the challenge theme.  Your project must fit the theme to be eligible to win. The winner will not be chosen randomly.  We will be looking for entries that include great use of color, design & creativity. You have until 12:01 AM (PT) on Sunday, August 31st to enter.  The winner will be announced on Thursday, September 4th at 6:00 AM (Pacific Time) on the Avery Elle Challenge Blog.

Back to school {bella blvd}

This week Bella Blvd is celebrating Back to School! We've been sharing projects for the teachers and kiddos marking the occasion.

First, I made this pencil gift box. It is quite possibly the most appropriate gift box for a teacher. I loved making this machine-cut pencil gift box cut using the Tiny Tots Flashcards A-L paper. I used the fun "A" flashcard as a gift tag and hand-cut a "hello" to make this box just as fun as whatever goodies I'll find to stash inside.

Supplies: Tiny Tots: (Pattern paper: Flashcards A-L), Treasures & Text Stickers. Summer Squeeze: (Pattern paper: Pocket Full of Posies)

Next I made this card. The fishies on the paper from Tiny Tots remind me of a school of fish, so I had to use them on my back to school card.

A bold and vibrant die cut message in the middle of the card makes the teacher feel appreciated on the first day back to school.

Supplies: Tiny Tots: (Pattern paper: Alphabet Soup, One Fish Two Fish), Paper Pieces Die Cuts. Classic Calendars: Treasures & Text Stickers

Thanks for stopping by to see my back to school projects. Check out the Bella Blvd blog to see what the rest of the team has been sharing this week.

Challenge #13 | Kraft {avery elle}

Happy Friday and welcome to another challenge for the AEI♥U Challenge blog. This week we are working with kraft on our cards.

I wanted the kraft paper to be subtle but also very prominent on my card, so I chose to use it for my mini envelope. The rest of the card is very simple with little color.

I used Sending You Clear Stamps from Avery Elle for the sentiment, hearts and dotted heart trail. I just love how it looks on the finished card.

I hope you'll get a chance to play along with us. I know I don't use kraft paper nearly enough — what a great reason to dig some up!
You have until 12:01 AM (PT) on Sunday, August 17th to enter.  The winner will be announced on Thursday, August 21st at 6:00 AM (Pacific Time) on the Avery Elle Challenge Blog.

Card sketch {bella blvd}

Today on the Bella Blvd blog, some of the card designers are sharing their take on this month's card sketch (which you can find at the end of this post).

I stayed pretty true to the sketch this month, including layers, busy backgrounds and a center-focus for my main elements.

I used the new Tiny Tots collection for both of my cards today. I just love the fishy paper behind the sailboat on this first card.

Supplies: Tiny Tots (Pattern paper: One Fish Two Fish, Daily Details Tiny Tots), Chipboard Icons, Paper Pieces Die Cuts.

For the second card, I used a less-distracting background so that the tiny bee from the flashcards paper would stand out and be the star of my card.

Supplies: Tiny Tots (Pattern paper: Busy Bee, Love to Learn, Flashcards A-L), Chipboard Icons.
Designer Washi Tapes (Blue Gingham Tape)

This is the sketch to inspire you! You can head on over to the Bella Blvd blog and see what the other ladies made. Thanks for stopping here today.

Dress card {samantha walker}

Today on the Samantha Walker blog I am sharing a tutorial on how to make this darling little dress card.

I've been watching a lot of Mad Men episodes while I craft lately, so I think I was inspired by the show when I made this.

Stop on by and take a peek! Thanks so much for stopping by here today.

Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop {august}

Welcome to the Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop! Scrapbook Circle has a new creative team, as well as a fabulous August kit, and we'd like to introduce you to both.

You could win one of five August kits by commenting as you hop from blog to blog, meeting faces new and old to Scrapbook Circle. If you just left Jennifer's blog, you are in the right place. If not, I hope you'll join us for the entire hop by starting at the Scrapbook Circle blog, here.

Here's the page I made for the hop using the August kit and an add-on kit. I focused on all of the wonderful extras and embellishments that come with Scrapbook Circle kits.

I just love the Crate Paper frames and the custom Scrapbook Circle stamp. I also used the wooden sequins from Chic Tags that are available in one of the August add ons.

Leave a comment to be eligible to win a kit! This hop event ends on Monday, August 4th at 9:00 p.m. (PT).

You are now hopping over to Mona's blog to see what she made and leave a comment on her blog as well as here on mine for extra chances to win.

Thanks for stopping by here today. Happy hopping!
