A happy day {cocoa daisy}

More fun for you using the Navy Pier kit from Cocoa Daisy. Is that background paper not the best?! It is such a heavy weight, too. Gorgeous!

This stamped leaf border is made up fromt he custom Cocoa Daisy leaf stamps for this month. And the rich brown wooden embellies are from Crate. The brown is the back of the pieces. For this layout, the back was better than the front, I thought.

So glad you could stop by today and see what I made. The Navy Pier kit is amazing!

Octopus {cocoa daisy}

Did you join us for the Midway Fall Crop at Cocoa Daisy this weekend? It was a blast! There was so much to do and so many great people hanging out with us. We debuted the Navy Pier kit during the crop and showed off some of the fun things exclusive to Cocoa Daisy — like this octopus stamp. Don't you just love it?

Something about these pictures from the dentist made me think of the octopus. To a six year old, having those hands in your mouth, and all of the water, plus the spitting — just seemed to go together for me.

During the Midway Fall Crop there was an ATC challenge. I just had to use this fabulous stamp on that one. So fun!

I'll be sharing more from the Navy Pier kit with you over the next few days. It'll be on same to everyone Nov. 1 and the add-on kits are already available to subscribers.

Thanks for stopping to see what I've been making with the Navy Pier kit.

Card challenge on the Midway {cocoa daisy}

Last night I revealed the card challenge at the Cocoa Daisy crop. The challenge is still going strong, so stop on by and join us!

Like the Cameo cuts on this card? I shared an exclusive .studio file on my card challenge post in the Midway Fall Crop. Stop on by there and grab the file. Join us, too! There is still so much time left to play along.

I made this card using the Navy Pier kit. Isn't it a great one?1 Loving that acorn paper a bunch! Thanks for dropping by here today.

Happy Halloween {cards}

I don't need much prompting to make Halloween cards. For some reason, I have always loved to make them. So when I saw the Halloween challenge at Cameo Spotlight, I knew I'd be playing along.

The digital cuts I used were all from the Silhouette store. I used Cat and Coffin by Silhouette and Bat by Snapdragon Snippets.

These cute little cards are going in Nate's lunch bag next week. He's going to love it! I try to leave little notes for him when I can — especially on holidays.

I used mostly last year's Halloween collections. I had been hoarding a lot of it because it was so great.

Thanks for stopping by to see my Halloween cards. Such a fun holiday to craft for!

Lots of fun news!

Stopping by today with some random news from a bunch of different places. First, I got my box from Imaginisce with the Love You More line and it is fabulous! Grey and pink for Valentine's and great B sides for so many other uses. There is washi (gasp!!) and alpha stickers! I am so excited to start to play around with it.

Tomorrow start the Midway Fall Crop for Cocoa Daisy. I'll have a card challenge and a free .studio file download for you all on Saturday evening. There are so many great manufacturer prizes lined up, and the challenges from the DT are creative and awe inspiring. Hope to see you there! We'll be showing off the Navy Pier kit.

Today starts the voting in the Paper Issues Facebook page if you sent in your project for consideration. Stop on by and see if you are one of the lucky finalists!

And a little "happy" for me this morning because my Frankenweenie page is one of the Top 3 most bookmarked at 2Peas. That never happens! So excited to see it there.

Thanks for stopping today. Hope to see you around the Cocoa Daisy crop or on the Facebook page for Paper Issues! *Don't forget as my blog reader you get a 20% off discount all the time to Paper Issues. The coupon code is DIANA20.*

It's hip to be square

If you don't know it already — I love 6x6 paper pads. I like to scrap small (and that may be why I am comfortable making cards), and the 6x6 pads make it so much easier to make the smaller pages. I like that on the smaller pads they even shrink down the patterns so they look relative to the larger 12x12 sheets.

With all of this in mind, it is why I jumped at the chance to be a part of Lisa Swift's new Hip to be Square feature. You can see more amazing 6x6 paper work on her blog.

For this layout, I used the 6x6 Portfolio paper pack from Pink Paislee. Gorgeous yellows, grays and blues in this pack. I also mixed in the tags from Portfolio for some of the embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by to see my page. If you are a die hard fan of the smaller paper pads like I am, head on over to Lisa's blog and see what everyone else has been up to over there. Lots of inspiration!

Cocoa Daisy Crop {and sneak peeks}

Are you busy this upcoming weekend? Cocoa Daisy is hosting a fall crop with lots to do and so many different ways to play along. Above is the schedule so you know when to check in.

I'll be hosting a card challenge on Saturday night at 5 p.m. (EST). For those of you with a Cameo — stop on by! I will have a free .studio file download for you to use on the card if you'd like. Also perfect for those fall layouts.

We'll be debuting the Navy Pier November kit this weekend, too. Here's few sneak peeks...

Gotcha thinkin' about it?! Hope to see you over on the forum during the weekend. It's gonna be so fun!

Halloween banner

Inspired by my good friend Sara (who makes it look so easy to whip up a banner), I plopped down in front of my computer and the Cameo and got right to making this lovely little Halloween festiveness.

I used twine to hang it from a Goodwill-salvaged mirror that hangs in the front entrance of my home. Here's a shot of the set up for the season. I should have moved that little black box before I took the picture. It is one of those spooky noise makers for Halloween night and Nate just loves it. He's already been walking around the house with it practicing for trick or treating.

Thanks for stopping to see my festive banner. I am already plotting a late-fall one for November and Thanksgiving. With the Cameo, it is just so fun to whip these up.

Trick or treat {paperhaus magazine}

Stopping by again today to share with you the other layout I had in the PaperHaus Magazine September/October issue of the e-mag. This page uses the Monster Mash papers and die cuts from Imaginisce.

Don't you just love the big bats cut? I will say it again — I am in love with the Cameo.

Thanks for stopping by today to see my layout. The PaperHaus Magazine December/January issue will be here before we know it! Check out the site for inspiration from their designers and to stalk the next release.

Little bit of this & that {paper issues}

This month at Paper Issues we had access to a wonderful .studio file made by Jen Chesnick. The file was made up of those pennants with "family," "this & that," "today" and few more that I didn't use on this layout.

For this page, I resized a handful of photos from my camera phone and printed them all out on one 4x6 sheet on my HP printer. Such a great way to make sure you get all of those one-time photo ops scrapped.

I had fun throwing this one together. Stop by Paper Issues to see all of the amazing things going on for October! Here is the October FITkit if you're interested in scooping one up! And if you feel like shopping, don't forget you get a 20% discount using my code: DIANA20 at the Paper Issues Shop.

And Silhouette is offering discounted bundles right now, too. Head over HERE and check out the savings from Silhouette. Thanks for stopping by to see my page today!

Pick me! {paperhaus magazine}

In September, PaperHaus Magazine launched with its first issue. This was one of two layouts that I had in the e-mag, and I'm just now getting around to sharing them with you. Being that fall is upon us, I am excited to share this with you.

The page is made using a past Cocoa Daisy kit — including that wonderful leaf stamp and the pennant arrows on the side.

How great is that expression on Nate's face?! It's from last fall at Aunt Joyce's pumpkin party. I can't wait until this year's party — it's always so fun.

If you haven't had a chance to see the PaperHaus Magazine from September, you can view it HERE. Look for the new one in December. It'll be chock full of holiday goodness.

Waddles {scrapbook circle & ScrapFIT}

It's time for another sketch challenge from ScrapFIT! If fall has you super busy, but you are still snapping those pictures, this sketch will be sure to give you quick inspiration.

I used the 5th and Frolic papers and stickers from the News Flash kit at Scrapbook Circle to make this page. Nate did a generic Build-a-Bear at a festival we went to, and he named his penguin Waddles. Such a cute picture of him, I had to scrap it.

Make sure to play along and link your page over on the ScrapFIT site. There is a fabulous FITkit up for grabs for this challenge. Swing on by and see what it's all about.

Thanksgiving card {cameo spotlight}

Happy to be playing along again with The Cameo Spotlight. I have come to look forward to these challenges and really like playing along. I've made some of my favorite projects from these prompts!

And this card is no exception! I used a print and cut file from Lori Whitlock, but I did not print it — just the cut part. Don't you just love that woodgrain paper for the apple barrel?!

Here is the prompt, so if you are inspired, head on over and play along with the ladies over there. If you have a Cameo, it is a great way to think outside of the box and try something new with each challenge.

Naples Grape Fest {scrapbook circle}

Today I have another page for you from the News Flash kit from Scrapbook Circle. That dark woodgrain paper from Crate On Trend is the best!

I cut the white circle from the Cameo and some of the circles are filled with stickers from Crate On Trend.

The pictures are from the end of Sept. when we went to the annual Naples Grape Fest in upstate NY. If hubs has the day off — we go! I just love the grape pies and we have fun walking the festival booths and getting kettle corn.

Thanks for stopping by to see my page today. On a separate note — today is my birthday, but I am not really feeling too festive. Not only is it a "downer" kind of number (cough, *35*, cough), but I'm spending the day with Nate as he has his tonsils taken out.

Wish us luck! I know he'll be fine, but it's a mother's nature to worry. :)
