Last Artful Delight post {card}

Well, my GDT spot with Artful Delight has come to an end. I love the 5 projects I ended up making with the March kit. In fact, the 3 layouts I made this month using that kit are probably my current favorites.

If you haven't stopped by Artful Delight yet, I recommend you do. A new kit and monthly sketch should be posted soon (if not already) for April. I know I'll be over there playing along.

And a big thank you to Leeanne for having me with the team this month!

I had been wanting to try a quilting theme on a card, and I did on this one. The MME papers made it easy to pair great patterns and colors using the hexagons. I like the effect and think I may try it again on something else. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping to see my last project for Artful Delight. I really appreciate it! Hope you are having a great weekend.

Pinterest {recipes}

It's been awhile since I've shared any recipes here from my Pinterest boards, but I've had some great success lately with trying new things.

Here are some must-pin recipes!

I made both of these within the last week. Actually, I made the salad twice this week! Both are hearty, full of flavor and great for the whole family. Nate actually loved them both, and he's been quite the picky eater lately.

Here's a preview of the menu that I'm planning for Easter breakfast, too. Excited to try these!

Have a great Friday! Thanks for sneaking a peek at my blog today.

Happy Day {card}

While I was making yesterday's two cards for Imaginisce, I also ended up making this card using what I had laying around my desk: a woodgrain embossing folder, SRM stickers, ribbon scraps, kraft paper, and a piece of the Snag 'em Stamp that I had colored in but not used.

I'm sure someone will need a smile soon and I'll be all ready to ship this card off to them.

Do you ever do that — throw together something quick with what's left on the table? Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going well so far. Thanks for stopping by here today.

1 product 2 ways {imaginisce}

Hello! Today I am sharing my 1 Product 2 Ways projects on the Imaginisce blog. I used the Hibiscus Snag 'em Stamp from the Makin' Waves collection.

For this first card, I stamped the stamp as a pattern on a white card and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Using distressed inks, I then applied the burnt orange coloring to the background, making a bold pattern for the card.

For the second card, I punched a hole in the card to place the colored-in, singled-out flower from the stamp. Remember, you don't always have to use the whole stamp. Singling out portions of a stamp can add a neat effect to any project. The clouds add dimension to the all-white card front, allowing for focus on the sentiment and flower.

Thanks for stopping by to see how I used the same stamp two different ways. Stop by the Imaginisce blog to see what else is going on over there!

Artful Delight {card}

Hi there! I'm still having a blast working with the March kit from Artful Delight. Here is a card that I made using the EAD Designs stickers - Treasure that can be found in the kit. They were really easy to peel and stick and then re-stick if I needed to. Delicate but versatile.

The My Mind's Eye papers are just so pretty. I'm sure this card will make someone's birthday a very happy one.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a fun weekend!

Nate's latest layout

Hi there! Last week, Nate took an interest in making a new page for his scrapbook. In fact, he plucked an old picture right off of the fridge and just decided to do this all by himself. I was quite proud of what he made, and so was he. Of course, that meant we took some pictures of his finished page.

This picture was just too cute not to include here in this post. I just love his personality — he's such a great kid!

Thanks for stopping to see Nate's page. He's excited to see his layout posted here on the computer and can't wait to see what you all think about his work. Hope you're having a great week so far!

i-magicut ribbon cutter mini

Hello! This week the girls on the Imaginisce DT will be sharing with you our projects using the i-magicut ribbon cutter. I have to admit that I am in love with this ribbon cutter. I always find myself trimming and re-trimming my ribbon edges, so having a nice, neat cut right out of the gate is the best.

For my project, I made a mini album for Nate. It is about last Easter and what we do on Easter morning. It'll be nice for him to have a little book about our Easter tradition. In addition to using the i-magicut ribbon cutter, I also used the Imaginisce Hippity Hop collection.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the mini.

One of the neat things about the i-magicut ribbon cutter is that if you place the ribbon in the cutter folded and at an angle you can get different ends to the ribbon. I experimented with a few different angles and used those pieces inside the mini as decoration for the pages.

Scoot on over to the Imaginisce blog all this week for more i-magicut ribbon cutter projects and inspiration.

And thanks for stopping by here today to see what I made! I really appreciate it.

Artful Delight {and Club CK}

Hello! I'm here to share with you my latest Artful Delight GDT project. The March kit is so fun! It just screams Easter to me with all of the pastels.

These pictures are from last Easter after coloring the eggs. I can't believe it's almost time to color them for this year! Wow — the time is just flying!

I was inspired by Ashley's Club CK sketch for my layout. I totally spaced on the twist to use hexagon, woodgrain or chevron on my page. The pink button has a woodgrain print on it, but that's by coincidence, so I'm calling myself out for being forgetful on that part.

If you play along, just remember that twist part. Join over at Club CK and play along with Ashley!

Thanks for stopping to see my layout. I've been cranking out the projects lately. Feels good to have so many bright, fun projects to work on.

Have a great weekend!

ScrapFIT and TPV

It's time for more ScrapFIT inspiration. This time we are joining forces with The Paper Variety (another scrappy blog I just love). We are using their sketch (below) and the prompt from ScrapFIT to make a list on your page.

My layout is about Dr. Seuss week at school for Nate. He really did have fun being a part of all the festivities. Dress Wacky day was one of his favorites. He wore his shirt inside out, two different socks, a funny nose and glasses, and his fleece sweatshirt was zipped up his back instead of his front.

I snapped this horribly blurry pic of him on my phone before I left for work, but the memory is definitely worth documenting because he did enjoy it so much.

This is the sketch from TPV. Use this along with the List Prompt and make something amazing!

Hope to see you over at the challenge sites! Thanks for stopping by — I appreciate it! Have a wonderful day!

Makin' Waves {imaginisce}

It's about that time for an Imaginisce reveal! The new collection, Makin' Waves, is going to be a summer favorite! So bright and cute — it's sure to make your summer layouts stand out from the rest. I had a great time working with this collection and think you will, too.

This second layout uses the "B" sides of the papers. Great dots and chevron prints that are easy to use for any layout. This page is about going to Lowe's for a kids activity, and the papers and fun embellishments really helped perk up the photos.

 (Could just squeeze his cheeks! Love that "kisses" face in the last pic! LOL)

I hope you like what you see so far of the Makin' Waves collection. The rest of the girls on the DT have been sharing their work, too, on the Imaginisce blog. Scoot on over there to see what everyone else has made.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layouts!

If you use a SC kit and the sketch, send me your creation (dianadesigns [at] rochester.rr.com) and I'll include you in the reveal post with all of the cards over at the Scrapbook Circle blog.

And here is the sketch for this month. You can see all of the details and reveal over at Scrapbook Circle, too. Make sure to email me your take on the sketch to be included in the reveal post in 2 weeks.

I have to admit that I am so excited to be making sketches again. Thanks for stopping to see this sketch, and hope to see you playing along!

Paper Issues {and a winner}

Paper Issues wants to see your GREEN! In honor of St. Patty's Day, we're feelin' a wee bit like looking at green projects. Interpret that however you'd like, just make sure it uses paper, and link your creations to the Paper Issues site. It doesn't have to be a new project, either. Link up anything you have that's green.

I made this lovely little card using the Scrapbook Circle March kit, Best.Day.Ever. (Great name for a kit, right?!) The colors in this kit are perfect for spring.

Hope to see you linking up over at Paper Issues

**If you are looking for the Cocoa Daisy Blog hop, scroll down to yesterday's post. You have until tonight at 8 p.m. (EST) to comment for your chance to win the stamp set.**

Hi there! I'm stopping in today to continue my GDT month with Artful Delight. This page is made with the March kit and the March challenge sketch.

The layout is about my love for the McD's Shamrock Shake. *sigh* So tasty! It is second only to a peanut butter shake at a small local ice cream stand that may or may not still be in my old hometown in Ohio from when I was a kid. That is my all-time favorite!

Here is the sketch at Artful Delight this month if you'd like to play along. I just love all of the opportunity on this sketch for embellishments.

If you get a chance, stop on by Artful Delight. Even better — play along with the sketch this month!

i love you. i do.

Hello! I had seen this idea of an all-white canvas on Pinterest last year and vowed to make one for myself. I chose our little family saying, "I love you. I do." It originated when Nate was only a year or two old. He couldn't say I love you (at least not audibly) so when I said, "I love you" to him, he'd repeat back, "I do." And it stuck.

To this day, we all still say, "I love you. I do," and I say it to Nate every night when I tuck him into bed.

Here it is hanging on the wall in my craft room. That's where it's going to live for now. I'm not quite finished with it yet. I got the idea from my friend Renee to add a picture of me, Nate and Brad, but I need to have a new one taken first. I just couldn't find one I liked.

Plus it looks so good on the dark brown wall.

Since I knew I was posting this on a Wednesday, I decided to go ahead with a Workspace Wednesday post that my friend Jingle does so very well most Wednesdays. I always like seeing her space, so I'm getting in on it myself this week.

I had an up-close shot, too, but I have a super-secret, not-yet-revealed collection on my desk that no one can see yet. *wink*

Thanks for stopping in to see my home decor project. Gotta love that Pinterest! It only helps if you actually do the things you pin. It's like the new Bucket List for crafters.
