Best cards of 2011

On this last day of 2011, here are my favorite cards and projects from this past year. This was a tough one—I made a lot of cards this year.

Thank you for sharing in this with me. I have had such a wonderful year and am so blessed. I am grateful beyond words that you choose to spend a little bit of your time with me and my little blog. Thank you!!

Have a wonderful New Year's celebration and looking forward to sharing 2012 with you!

All my best!!

Best pages of 2011

I can't let the year go without a re-cap of the year. Here are my favorite pages from 2011.

This was the year for the 8.5" x 11" layout! I knew I was using that format more and more, but it is quite apparent that I like the end result better since most of my layouts in that size made it to the final cut for the year.

Thanks for hanging with me this year! Stop by tomorrow for my fave cards and projects from 2011.

Sketchy Thursdays {Christmas Eve}

It's time for Sketchy Thursdays! We took last week off for the holiday, but now we're back with a new sketch. This week, some of us on the DT worked with digital files from Digi Doodle Shop. I used three different holiday images for my page: Christmas 1, Christmas Ornaments and Fun with Christmas-North Pole.

Here is the sketch I made for this week's challenge. I'm sure you have some holiday pictures you are ready to make gorgeous pages with!

I hope to see you playing along with us! Hop on over to the site to see what the rest of the DT made to inspire you. And thanks for stopping by to see my page for this week's reveal.

Elf on the shelf

We had a visit from one of Santa's elves for the holidays. His name is Coconut (named after what Nate used to call Nutcrackers when he was little—he called them coconuts).

He was mischievous and got into all kinds of trouble while he was with us, and I tried to sneak some pictures of his silliness as often as I could. He was a fast little sucker.

Did you have an Elf this year? I'm relieved he has left us until next year—he was exhausting to keep up with. Next year we'll have to step it up a bit.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my page, I really appreciate it!

Visit to Santa

Hello there! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I was lucky to be able to sneak a few moments to put some pages together that I had wanted make. I feel like I took these pictures forever ago!

See those fabulous felt mittens on the page? I scooped them up from Amanda's Etsy shop—Crafty Paper Girl. I recommend any of her items. I have a birdie and a little hat, too, that I am plotting to use.

I will apologize in advance for the amount of holiday pages I'll be scrapping in the next few weeks. I took a lot of pictures this year. Especially after Christmas morning because... husband got me a Canon T2i! He even went to the trouble to have decoy gifts so I wouldn't figure it out. It was an amazing surprise and I am so grateful that he supports my hobbies.

Thanks for stopping by to see my page!

Happy Holidays!

Inspired by Pinterest this year, here is my pretty package for the season. It was for the ornament exchange at my work this week. It's a blind exchange in that you aren't supposed to know who the ornament is from, and then each ornament can be stolen two more times from the original owner.

I think I pretty much failed at the "not knowing who the ornament was from" part. LOL! Oh well…I just can't pass up a chance to make something pretty for the sake of just being pretty.

Happy Holidays everyone! Enjoy the festivities this weekend if you are celebrating. I am so, so excited that for the first time in many, many years, my husband has both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. (As well as New Year's Eve!) So, my holiday wish has already come true!

Wishing you and yours all the best!

Holiday wish

Hi there! I was instantly drawn to this paper in the Crate Paper's Peppermint 6x6 holiday paper pack. I knew I was going to have to use it on something (or a lot of things) for the holidays.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog this week to see my parade of holiday cards.

Wishing you all the very best this holiday season. I am blessed for each and every commenter, friend and family member that has stopped by here this past year. I couldn't do this without your love and support.

All my best!

A merry doilie Christmas

I just love this card. So simple, traditional and pretty. The kraft paper combined with the doilie, and then add in seam binding and a traditional stamp from Papertrey Ink … it makes for a classic holiday card.

Thanks for stopping in for more of my week of holiday cards. I hope I was able to give you some last minute inspiration if you needed to whip up some quick cards.

Happy little snowman

I had been hanging onto this snowman year after year waiting for just the right moment to use him on a project. I felt like he finally needed a good home—so off he goes this year!

Hoping your week is going great! Thanks so much for taking a minute from this busy time to visit my week of holiday cards.

Merry & Bright

I'm continuing with my week of holiday cards. Loving my little border strip tree here.

Other than using the border strips to make the tree, I was also quite happy with how I added in the bursts on the inside of the card. Such a simple thing to add in—I rarely think to do that.

Thanks for stopping in for my week of holiday cards. I hope you are cruising into the holidays at a good pace, stress-free and ready for the festivities!

A week of Christmas cards

Hello there! This week I am sharing with you a few of the holiday cards I made this season. I hope you like my last-minute week of inspiration.

• You can also link your holiday cards for the rest of this week to the Jingle Belles blog.
• At The Paper Variety, anything goes—so if you made anything, link it over there.
(I also swore I saw a challenge for linking up a project with an ornament and now I can't find it. I had been inspired by that prompt, too.)

And thank you so much to everyone for the warm wishes for making the Imaginisce DT for 2012. I am so blessed to be given this opportunity to design for them and use their amazing products.

Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate it. Have a great week!

Sketchy Thursdays {trim the tree}

It's time for another Sketchy Thursdays reveal. Heidi's sketch for this week is inspiring (as always) and a great one for those holiday pictures. Stop by and take a peek.

There will not be a sketch reveal next week on the 22nd, so this one will last until 12/28 for you to play along. We'll be back on the 29th for a new reveal after that.

My page is a digi layout. I used some of my favorite pictures of our tree. This year I decorated the Christmas tree in teal and red. I just love how fun it is! It feels more playful for some reason.

I hope you'll be able to join us sometime over the holidays. I know I'm super busy, as I can guess you are, too. Finding time to scrapbook will be a relief from the busy pace.

Thanks for stopping by today—I really appreciate it!

Shaggy Blooms {new}

I am super excited about the new flower pins I've been making for my Etsy shop. I'm calling them Shaggy Blooms, to compliment the Ruffled Blooms I already make.

Currently there are 2 listings in the shop for these, but they are also available for custom orders with patterns and colors you'd prefer. Just send me a convo in Etsy and I can get you all set up with these.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see these new flowers. Wouldn't these just make the best stocking stuffers or a gift for a bestie?!

Enjoy your week!
